History of the Ruffneck Resistance RMM
In 2013, 7 men from 7 different states known as the Founding Fathers, came together with an idea. That idea was a motorcycle (and M/C) based militia. A force that has roots in the horse Calvary of old. The idea can be traced back to the Iron Age (865–860 BC) and an American tradition that started with the New York Motorcycle Club, founded in 1903, precursor to the AMA (American Motorcycle Association) and the outlaw M/Cs that formed from the AMA.
You may have noticed that our patch is a three piece, much like the 1%er M/C’s. In the beginning we started as the Roughneck Brotherhood M/C. The Roughneck/Ruffneck is from both, the background in the oilfield some of the Founding Fathers had and the military background of others. Resistance is part of our mission and that mission is resistance against tyranny. Yes we started as an M/C, but the Founding Fathers saw that the M/C designation would hold us back in our mission. We went through several changes, Roughneck Riders R/C, Roughneck Riders, and finally the Table settled on the RMM designation since we fully support the Constitution and felt that it is the ONLY regulation our organization needed to follow.
We have had many changes since 2013. A few names and a few faces, but our mission has never changed and the Original members still believe in the same mission the Founding Fathers had in 2013.
RMM: WHAT IT MEANS
RMM or Regulated Motorcycle Militias, are regulated ONLY by the state Constitution the charter is in and the Constitution of the United States. RMM’s are comprised of patriots that believe in our freedom and will fight at any cost to keep it. We are loyal to our State Constitutions, the Constitution of the United States and our Bill of Rights. We are regulated by the Constitution. It’s not just a patch. The militia in RMM is not just a title; we are an actively training militia. We are the definition of an Active, Disciplined and Trained group. We are a group of patriots that will act as a mechanized infantry or, like the Cavalry of old.
RMM’s are not Motorcycle Clubs (M/C’s). Even though we wear a patch as Motorcycle Clubs do, it is a sign of respect to the Motorcycle world. The 3 piece patch M/C’s wear is a sign of the outlaw. RMM members know that when Tyranny becomes law, we are the outlaws. The patch is our “protest flag” marking ourselves visually against the Tyrants that threaten our Constitutional Rights. The M/C patch has earned respect over the years as a certain type of brotherhood. RMMs and our members respect ALL clubs and organizations because we are fighting for everyone’s freedom in this country.
The Declaration of Independence declares that all men are created equal and affirms that we are bestowed freedom by our Creator. RMM’s will fight for that freedom. We do not discriminate against sex, creed, race, or religion. If you believe the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are the law of the land, then you are the type of Patriot and Biker we are looking for. Our patch is not bought, nor is it given, you must earn your place as a brother or sister.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN RMMs AND OTHER MOTORCYCLE ORGANIZATIONS
There are many differences between RMMs and M/Cs, R/Cs and any other motorcycle organization, many of these revolve around the militia part of our mission. RMMs also have co-ed (as in, our sisters are equals) membership, and no M/C is Co-ed, although some claim to be. Our rank structure is similar but different: we have the following officer positions; Commander, Executive Officer (2nd in command), Keeper, SGT-at-Arms (yeah, we kept a couple), and Road Captain (told you!). There are several others, but you’ll have to join or hang out with us for those. M/Cs use President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, SGT-at-Arms, and Road Captain, with others thrown in the mix, depending on the club.
We have no issues with R/Cs, as we love riding, R/Cs are normally ONLY about riding, and usually don’t require the amount of time and dedication that RMMs and M/Cs do.
As we said before RMMs respect EVERY clubs right to exist, and respect those that were here before. We also deserve the same respect, as the old saying goes, gotta give respect to earn respect.
Neutrality Statement
All Ruffneck Resistance RMM Charters, Chapters and individual members are neutral. Meaning, WE TAKE NO SIDES IN ANY MC POLITICS (beefs if you will). We will not take sides, be support for, nor declare loyalty to any club. We have brothers in many houses, and will be cordial towards ALL bikers, regardless of the patch on their back. We do not claim any concrete territory. Although, we will protect and defend privately owned property. Our only “side” is the side against tyranny and oppression. We will fight along side anyone battling tyranny, federal government overreach, and police overreach, profiling, and brutality etc. etc.
“If you love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”
Samuel Adams, to the Continental Congress August 1, 1776
